Samuel William Ivey

October 29, 1936 to June 12, 2024

Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024, of our father Samuel Ivey at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Generous with a big heart, always concerned about his family. Couldn’t wait for a drop of some rum and Sunday dinner. You and Mom are together again. She’s yelling at you and you’re ignoring her as you usually would, still loving each other after 60 years married.

Predeceased by his wife, Violet Elizabeth Ivey (nee Hutchings).

Leaving to mourn daughters: Marguerite and Lori Kean  (Luke); sons: Richard (Ruth deceased) and Scott (Shelley); grandchildren: Jacob, Brady, Haley, Hannah and Marcus; brother Isaac Ivey (Eileen); also, other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Special thank you to the staff of St. Clare’s Hospital for your compassion and care.

Cremation has taken place.

A Committal service will take place at the Columbarium in the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Rd. on Saturday, June 15th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donation’s in his memory may be made to the S.P.C.A or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Schedule

Committal Service

10:00am, Saturday June 15th
