Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing on June 26th, 2024, of Maureen Sampson formerly of Ferryland, at the age of 69 years.
Predeceased by her husband Calvin; grandson, Declan; son-in-law Glenn Noseworthy; parents Arthur Sr. and Emma Jordan; sisters: Thresea, Regina, Francis; brothers: Authur, Ambrose and Frankie.
Leaving to mourn her daughters: LynnAnn (Darren) and Amanda (Jim); son Reggie; her cherished grandchildren: Dawson and Sydney; her special great grandson Isaac; also a large number of family and friends, especially her very close friends in Kilbride.
Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd. from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3rd.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 4th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Carnell Memorial Chapel with cremation to follow. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery will be announced as details become available.
Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.

To Maureen’s family, I was saddened to hear of Maureen’s passing, (although I haven’t see.n Maureen in years), we grew up together in Ferryland and we hung out throughout our school years and we played baseball in the meadow in the evenings, we shared some good times together as kids and teenagers. I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers today as you lay your beautiful mom to rest. God Bless you all. Hugs
Oh Betty, the memories I have of you. The funniest one was last summer when I got you to attack that spider for me. You hauled the head off it for me lol the laughing we done, I’ll never forget it. You watched me grow up, rest easy Betty and give fadder Bob a hug for me xoxo

My Condolences and Thoughts to Her Family. I’ve known Maureen a long time ever since I had lived in Kilbride. I visited Maureen Many times and I will miss her and our chats. I only found out today Maureen had passed; I’m in shock here, Maureen was a beautiful, kind and a sincere woman, friend, Mother, Wife. Dearly Missed until we meet again xx xx
