Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing after a lengthy illness our baby brother and partner of 20 years on Saturday, June 30th, 2024 – Eugene Romain Oliver – aged 64 years.
Predeceased by his parents, John and Annie (nee Martin); siblings, John, Dan, Bill, Baby Leo, Jim, Mary, Baby Raymond, Raymond, Lewis, Andrea; brother in law William Hanlon; sister in law Beverley (nee Crane) and Mary Earls; niece Roxanne Burton; and nephew Christopher Oliver.
Leaving to mourn are his four brothers Kevin (Janyce), Ron, Gary, and Karol; and his partner in life Stephanie Snelgrove and her family, along with sister-in-law, Betty Oliver.
Cremation has taken place. As per Eugene’s wishes there will be no visitation or services at this time.
Donations in Eugene’s memory can be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
A special thank you to the Doctor’s and Staff of St. Claire’s Mercy Hospital 4th floor west for their outstanding compassion and care they have provided these past several weeks, and Patrick Torraville of Carnell’s Funeral Home for the compassion, care, and understanding provided to us during this difficult time.

My condolences to both families and I’m so sorry for your loss. Stephanie, Mrs. Snelgrove and family – Eugene thought the world of all of you. Your mom was so good to him and visited him in hospital so often and was so very kind and loving to him. It was my good fortune to spend time with him while he was in hospital. Over the years I always enjoyed the telephone calls between Eugene and myself and we always had a great laugh together. He was only a 10 years old when I met him and I, along with my children, always thought the world of him. Stephanie, Eugene would tell me how good you were to him and he loved you so much and really did appreciate all that you did for him. RIP Eugene.

I am so sad to hear of Uncle Eugenes passing. I fondly remember the many Friday nights he would come over to stay the night.when I was young. He was always a lot of fun to hang out. I will surely miss him.
