(Annie) Donna Mills

Passed away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, June 25, 2024, at the age of 77.

Donna was a proper lady.  She was exceptionally gentle and kind-hearted.  Donna was very proud to be a hard-working career woman and gained many accolades for her diligence and attention to detail as a public relations representative.  Little children brought her true joy.  She was a lover and rescuer of cats.

Predeceased by mother Cassie (Kay) Wiggins and loving stepfather Cam; father John Best; sister Linda Ramsden; nan and pop Florence (Floss) and James Best; and brother John Best (Darleen). 

Leaving to mourn daughter Heather Mills; sisters Gail Claeys (Eric) and Cheryl Beauvais (Terry); son Ken Mills; loving, kind, and supportive cousins Stella Dyke (Joe) and Janis McDonald; nieces and nephews Anissa, Cristy, Brooke, Kenneth, Cathy, and Kimberly; Donna’s extended family in Sarnia, Ontario, best friend Joan Shears and family, as well as Fred Mills, Donna’s first husband and father of her children. 

The family would like to thank the incredibly caring team at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, as well as neighbours and friends that have supported Donna, especially Rosalind Ennis, her dear and loyal friend.

Family will receive visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Friday, June 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service will be held from the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 30 Aldershot Street, St. John’s, with Pastor John Murley presiding, on Saturday, June 29 at 2 p.m.  A private interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

So sorry to hear of Donna’s passing. She was a lovely lady. My condolences to Ken, Heather and all the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. RIP Donna.

Heartfelt condolences to Donna’s family. I had the pleasure of working with Donna in Doha. She was a consummate professional who was happy to share her knowledge and experience with students and co-workers. She was always so well put together…I certainly admired her sense of style! I hope you all have many treasured memories to help you through these ifficult days.

I was so sorry to hear of Donna’s passing. We were good friends many years ago. Sincere sympathy to Heather and Ken and other family members.

We are visiting family in Labrador City. Therefore, we regret that we cannot visit Carnell’s or attend her funeral. Our thoughts will be there with you all.

various occasions. Donna was one of the nicest women I ever met., she had a fantastic personality and was very kind.

I met Donna many years ago through her friend Joan. She always looked lovely and was cheerful and kindhearted.. I was saddened when I heard Donna had passed and hope that she truely has gone to a better place. She will be often thought of and missed by all who knew her.

We are saddened to hear about the passing of Donna Mills. We grew up together in school and church as teenagers. We send our deepest sympathy and prayers for family and friends.

I was sad to hear of Donna’s passing. I worked closely with her in the CNA Office Administration Program overseas in Qatar. She was a lovely woman with a beautiful personality and a big heart for animals. My condolences to the family.

So shocked to see this today. Donna took a chance and gave me my first job in the oil & gas industry -with PetroCanada in 1981. I went on to have a successful and very rewarding +30 year career and for that I will be forever grateful to her. Condolences to Heather & Kenneth and the rest of her family and friends. RIP Donna

Donna was like a second mother to me. So many special memories. My condolences to the family. She will be truly missed. Looking forward to the Resurrection Day when we will see her beautiful smile again.
