Catherine "Cathy" Kitchen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Cathy who left this world on May 30th, 2024 at the age of 60.

Cathy was a loving mother, Grandmother, sister, Aunt, cousin and Friend.

Cathy was a devoted mother to her two loving children, Stacey and John “Willie”, who were the light of her life. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother, adoring her granddaughter River-Marie, loving her beyond measure.

Cathy was born and raised on Bell Island. Cathy lived a full and vibrant life. She was known for her kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering support to those around her. She had a passion for taking everyone’s money in a game of cards. She would never walk away empty handed.

Cathy was predeceased by her loving parents Myrtle and Stanley Kitchen. Her 2 sisters (Genevieve and Isabel) & 1 brother (Ned).

Leaving to remember and mourn are her daughter Stacey (Ambrose); son John (Jessica); granddaughter River-Marie; her five sisters; seven brothers, and many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Visitation to take place on June 7, 2024 at Carnell’s funeral Home, at 329 Freshwater Road in St. John’s, between the hours of 2-4pm, 7-9pm, with cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her children.

Rest in peace Mom, you will never be forgotten.
