Obituary

Bramwell Foote, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend to many, passed away on May 29th, 2024 in St. John’s at the age of 84. Born in Burin Newfoundland on February 16th, 1940, Bramwell was a cherished member of The Salvation Army community and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Bramwell is survived by his son Kerry Foote; daughters Verley Foote (Brian), Karen Baggs (Ray), Viola Easton (Ron), and Krista Kostescu; sister Donna Smith; brothers Garland, Mallory, and Alvin. Left to mourn and cherish by grandchildren Amanda, Harlie, Kyle, Victoria, Vanessa, Ryan, Liam and Emma. As well as 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Pre-deceased by his wife Ruth Foote (Young), brothers Ray, Less, Glen, and grandson Collin.

Many thanks to Karwood Retirement Retreat and Glenbrook Lodge for his care over the past two years.

Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday, June 2 from 3-5 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Salvation Army Citadel, Adams Ave., on Monday, June 3 at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bramwell’s memory may be made to the St. John’s Salvation Army Citadel.

So saddened to learn of the passing of your dear Dad. Thinking of you all at this time remembering when you and your family worshipped & served at St.John’s Citadel in so many areas. So many of you stood from time time to bear witness of Jesus in your day to day walk. God bless and be with you in the days ahead.

My sincere sympathy to the family as you pass through this time of sorrow.. I pray you will be comforted by the exemplary life he led and the many precious memories you carry. God be with you each one.

Saddened to hear about your dad’s passing. Beautiful people….we kept in touch down through the years. until the past few. They performed our wedding ceremoney in 1971 in Point Leamington. Karen, I was your grade one teacher and many times we baby sit Viola . Love & prayers to all of you. We have great memories.

Verley and family, thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your family in the loss of your Dad. Cherish the memories of this wonderful man and take care of each other!

What an amazing person! So many incredible memories. It was an honour to call you uncle. RIP!!
