Obituary

Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, June 18, 2024, nine days after his 90th birthday.  Member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Soccer Hall of Fame.

Predeceased by parents Samuel and Effie (Green) Pennell; sister Grace Anderson (Andy deceased); and niece Janet Tucker.

Leaving to mourn his loving sister Betty Tucker (Leslie deceased) of Calgary; brother Ed (Anne Ball), nephew Rick Tucker (Lil) and family of Calgary; niece Carla Crawford (Terry deceased) and family, as well as a number of friends and neighbours.

Cremation and inurnment according to Buck’s wishes.  At Buck’s request, there will be no visitation or service.

Thank you to the staffs of Cambridge Estates, 4 South A Health Sciences Centre, and 3 South St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for the TLC given to Buck while in your care.  Thank you all for the work you do in your service to those in your care and the support you give to families.

Thank you to Carnell’s Funeral Home for their assistance and support.

Donations in Buck’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
