Thornbury, Nicole Lorraine, L.L.B
Passed peacefully away on Thursday, July 22th, 2010, Nicole Thornbury, aged 37 years after a nine year courageous battle with breast cancer. She is predeceased by mother Philomena. Ever remembered, ever loved, and always cherished by fiancé Jamie Burke and father Ralph O’ Brien Thornbury. Always loved and remembered by Rosemary, Jim, Steve, Kelly, Katie Burke, John French, and Jodi Warford (Ralph's fiancé). Leaving to mourn with wonderful memories special Aunt Mora (Vince) and Uncles and Aunts Barbara, Reg, Jim, May and Joan Thornbury and all members of extended Thornbury, Campbell and Burke families. As well as special Friends Lisa, Leslie Ann, Karen D, Jennifer, Kelsey, Karen O, Giselle, Tracey and Andrea. Special thanks to all that cared for Nicole over the last nine years especially Dr Fiona O’Shea- you are a remarkable person; Dr Ruether and his team in Calgary-thank you for caring, treating and following Nicole for nine years; Dr Zulfiqar and Patsy- your level of care helped us to share many more happy memories; Dr Laing and Delores- thank you for taking such good care of Nicole during her final journey. Thanks to the amazing staff at the chemo unit and acute care unit- you were so nurturing and tended to Nicole’s every need. Special thanks to Sylvia and her staff at TLC for your compassionate and professional care, especially Judy and Rosemary. as well as community health nurse Christine Walsh. Special thanks to Dr. Hutton, Dr. Bonnell and Dr. Ciaran O’Shea for your assistance, care, guidance and friendship with Nicole. Also, thank you to staff at Clovelly Golf for your consideration and attention to Nicole’s needs. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation on Sunday 1:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday, July 26th, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Pius X Church. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted. Donations can be made in Nicole’s name to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
