Mitchell, Samuel
Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at St. Patrick's Mercy Home on July 19, 2010, Samuel James Mitchell, aged 89 years. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Martha; sisters: Ethel and Isabelle. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memory his devoted wife of 65 years, Grace; his seven children: Evelyn (Joseph), Albert (Marge), Nina (Gus), Hayward (Elsie), Eleanor (Harold), Marion (Grant) and Fred; twelve grandchildren: Blair, Darren, Glen, Karen, Dawna, Lisa, Sam, Amy, Dawn, Brian, Melissa and Stephen; nine great-grandchildren; one sister Alice Churchill; as well as other relatives and friends. A special thanks to Rev. Keeping and a faithful family friend Carrie Tucker. A heartfelt thank you to the staff of the 3rd floor at St. Patrick's Mercy Home for their care and kindness. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 4 p.m. from St. Philip's Anglican Church. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, St. Philip's. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Samuel's memory may be made to the St. Philip's Anglican Church Building Fund.
